Dial, Tim. Basic Millinery for the Stage. Portsmouth, New Hampshire: Heinemann, 2002.
This instructional book is intended for theatrical costume designers and technicians, and utilizes modern theatrical techniques to create, among other things, historical looks. Nevertheless, it seems like a useful resource, particularly for those interested in a period appearance more than period construction. It is instructional. It has monochrome images, quite a lot of them. It was not recommended by anyone specifically. It has a brief bibliography and an extensive glossary.
